MADISON, Wis. — As the birthplace of architect Frank Lloyd Wright, Wisconsin is passionate about its native son and his many buildings that dot the state’s landscape. In fact, the state recently marked the world’s first Frank Lloyd Wright Trail, a 200-mile self-guided motor route that takes visitors to nine different Frank Lloyd Wright-designed sites across Southern Wisconsin.
The trail was launched in anticipation of Wright’s 150th birthday anniversary on June 8. To celebrate, the trail sites and other historic and cultural attractions and art museums across the state are hosting a full slate of Wright-inspired events and activities for visitors to enjoy this year. Whether it’s the Wright and Like Tour of homes in Milwaukee on June 3 or the Wright Celebration for Kids at Taliesin in Spring Green on June 17, everyone from the Frank Lloyd Wright aficionado to the casual fan can enjoy these inspiring and entertaining events.
