Wisconsin Governor's Conference on Tourism (WIGCOT)
This three day event, hosted by the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, is an educational, motivational and fun way to charge your batteries for the tourism work ahead.
The 2020 Governor’s Conference on Tourism will be held at the Monona Terrace Convention in Madison March 15-17, 2020.

Governor’s Tourism Awards
The Governor's Tourism Legacy Award - Presented to an individual who has shown a long lasting and permanent contribution to the industry over the years. A nominee for this award should have twenty-five (25) years or more of distinguished service to the tourism industry, fifteen years or more of which has been in Wisconsin.
The Governor’s Tourism Rising Star Award - Presented to an individual who is new to the tourism industry – within the last 5 years – and has shown leadership, commitment and a passion for Wisconsin’s tourism industry.
The Governor’s Tourism Stewardship Award - Presented to a business or community that uses and/or promotes sustainable practices.
The Governor’s Tourism Service Excellence Award - Presented to a business that has achieved significant success and growth by providing exceptional service to their customers and a strong, charitable involvement in their community.

National Travel & Tourism Week
National Travel and Tourism Week is when communities across the country hold events as a way to put the spotlight on the contributions travel makes to the nation’s economy and quality of life. During National Travel and Tourism Week, the Department of Tourism distributes its annual economic impact research that shows how the tourism economy makes a positive impact on the state of Wisconsin.
