This is the way to get noticed.
Our tech team exists to connect potential visitors to you. Our primary tool-of-choice is the Web site TravelWisconsin.com, with visitors to the site numbering in the millions. Which is why it's so important for you to have your attraction, restaurant, event, resort, historic site, whatever tourism business you're in, included in our database of information.
It's that database - you may know it as the Tourism “extranet” - that feeds all the content on the site. It's the information we draw on to promote your area in our publications, advertising, weekly radio reports and in news stories. It's what we refer to when people call 800-432-TRIP.
In other words, if you're not part of our database, consumers won't know you exist. There is no fee for this.
Getting your information uploaded doesn't require a computer science degree.
Much of the information on the site is directly uploaded by people on staff at Chambers of Commerce and Convention & Visitor Bureaus. If your business doesn't currently participate through one of those local organizations, just get in touch with Linda Drogsvold-Anderson; her contact information appears to the right. She'll be able to enter your content, and then she'll also get in touch with the local tourism organization in your area to offer them the opportunity to get on board as a partner on database entry.
If you are a tourism organization and not currently a partner, contact Linda and she'll set up online training for you to get you started.
Did we mention there's no fee for all this exposure? All we ask, in turn, is that you keep your information up-to-date and accurate. You need not be an Internet expert - it's super easy to use. Just give us a call and we'll lend a hand.
Here's to good information and good business.
